WHY does this author think that putting a short guy on the cover is a brilliant idea?

She reminds me of that Karsh portrait of Winston Churchill when they took his cell phone away just before snapping the photo.
The dude is obviously a shifter because he is standing in front of her, behind her, and in a different photo studio all at the same time.

You have to give the author credit for consistency at least. I checked on amazon and there are, like, nine of these books all with the same models in slightly different poses (also, short dude never acquires a shirt or takes a shower. Although, there’s one book where he’s absent. Maybe he’s bathing then).

I think that’s supposed to be camouflage paint, but he looks like a shirtless chimney sweep.
