My brother-in-law uses Poser for his artwork – and he’s created some amazing stuff. He’s thoroughly learnt how to use it and paid for a lot of extra software content. The latter is what makes a HUGE difference; if all you’ve got is the standard (i.e. free) part of the Poser package you’re never gonna make anything great, no matter how skilled you become at using it.
I’ve only got the free part, and even though I do have experience with software rendering programs, I’m still learning how to use Poser properly. So every person I make with it at the moment is WOEFUL. I wouldn’t DARE use my own efforts on a book cover!
This site has left me wondering… if you actually know how to use Poser really well, what do your images look like?
Are they really cool, or do these people actually know how to use Poser well and it can only make emotionless zombie characters.
I found out for myself.
It is the the first option. There was some really cool images out there.

Rock, paper, scissors.
