As they say, “Variety is the spice of life”. Keeping with the tradition of headless male torsos this author decided to make him (I’m guessing) Native American. I’m used to seeing that bsht but was it really necessary to put that business suit dude under his armpit? And that bimbo looking chick’s head in the corner? Kinda kills the drama that the title suggests.
In other words, another lousy book cover.
Tatoo Brave also has no body beneath the belly button. That being the case, why would this chick have the hots for him? And just what would he be able to do for her if he got her back?
Dear God! I just saw the cover you posted. I’ve seen some serious dreads in my life but that freaky dude’s takes the cake for the ugliest I’ve ever seen. What is he? Some porcupine hybrid? He’s going to poke that chick’s eye out.

Shudder… Not sure I could stomach that.

OK, against my better judgement, I went to the author’s Amazon page and looked at the other covers.
Well there are thematic similarities in all of them. Some might call that branding; others might call it unimaginative or derivative. I call it pathetic.
The headless torso is blurry due to pixilation. The guy behind him is blury, I think, as an attempt to add depth of field. If it WAS to try depth of field I give them the artist bonus points for even knowing what it is; however, in this case that’s completely negated by ineffective execution. I think the artist is going for ‘the other man’ in the background. Again, decent idea foiled by poor execution.

Well, she obviously likes muscular dudes with tattoos. And apparently what his face looks like is inconsequential.

If you were on this cover, wouldn’t you want to be blurred out?
Sadly for this author, the mechanics of the writing are rather better than the covers. (Judging by samples only.)
