This reminds me of watching a filmstrip way back in school, except it’s in color and there’s no scratched-up record with narration.

Yup. Near-perfect description of what we’re seeing here. I suppose if you’re going to steal from the public domain, lifting art from Michaelangelo is as good as any and better than most. But, by god, it does look like a young filmmaker using “fast cuts” to add speed/action to a crappy film.

Hint, young padawan learner-author: Michaelangelo really, really does not need fast cuts.

(Or cold cuts).
