The Wrong Man’s Ring

I swear, these Tolkien spinoffs are just getting ridiculous.

The Bellagio does not allow you to play in their fountain, even if you are a giant floating woman.

Maybe she can sell the rings to pay for a prosthetic foot, since she lost her left one.

Any bet the missing foot has part of a distinctive watermark (par for the course in land of Lousy Book Covers, that, and sheer carelessness). Or the story could be fan fic off Stephen King’s “Survivor Type”.

Considering that large parts of her hat are missing too, I vote clumsy cut-and-paste.

The idea it’s fan fic off “Survivor Type” keeps gnawing at me.

Maybe she tried eating her hat first.

I hope they read the directions this time—whoever glued her her forearm on did it backwards. It also looks like a “his” forearm. Maybe she is one of the Zombits.

Either way, her arm bends the wrong way.

Much as I hate to sound like I’m defending this abortion of a cover, I think that arm is for real. Lots of women’s elbows hyperextend like that, and she wouldn’t have to be hugely muscular for that pose to make her tricep and deltoid spread out a lot and look oversized.

I think it’s the shadow on her arm that makes it look funny.

The cover might be lousy, but that’s a Five M hotel.

Would you have guessed from the cover that this is a mystery? I expected it to be romance and/or erotica.
