Oh, please, a cover “Rouge” for a novel titled “Rogue”. There may be little money in the self-pub indie small press for market testing of cover concepts, but surely the author, publisher, or cover creator had family or friends who could look at the cover and honestly critique it for free. “Hey, sis, would you buy a book with this cover?” “Rouge? Aha! I knew this … ummm … composition … and grouping of … ummm … masses … looked familiar:
