“Call of the W lf Paul Perkins”. Paul’s call apparently makes people’s eyes glow and wolves poop.

The top of Viking dude’s underwear is showing. I didn’t know that Vikings wore briefs. I learn so much about history here.

(I think those are trees in the background, but the forest floor looks like water. The cover starts off with a WTH quease [from Old Norse kveisa].)

Viewing the cover .jpg at 1251 x 1877 pixels: the elastic band of the “Viking”‘s briefs is laughably obvious plus the tatoos are just not Viking. Especially the stitches. What happened to research to assure that cover art accurately reflected the subject matter? And if the cover is wrong about Viking culture, what does it say about the story?

And he is wearing what looks like a cross. No Vikingers wore crosses. Once Christianity was accepted, the “viking” stopped.

That’s the zipper. It’s a fake head to make him look taller and scarier. If you look close at the beard you will see the real guy’s face hidden in there. 🙂

It’s an old 70’s pukka shell necklace, bought at a thrift store, and dyed black to match the cover meme.

I guess I’ll never get tired of asking this: Why oh why are books like this always part of a series?

Vikings are tough. Except for their nipples which must be shielded from the cold. Other than that – tough.
