You know this would actually be a great cover, if only they had used a different font.
And maybe left the blood off the face. And the face, and I’m pretty sure it would be improved if you got rid of the boobs(?).
Oh, and the hair. Forget the hair – it’s an awful brown mess of curley-cues. In fact, forget what I said about the font. Just get rid of the words. And the colors need to go, too.

At first glance this isn’t so bad. The blood could be done better, if it followed facial contours and didn’t fall straight down like that. That’s very distracting. But this is a man? I was confused about gender. Plus vertical text is hard to read.
Now that I look more closely, I’m having difficulty saying exactly what I liked about it. There’s an attempt at an intetesting composition. Maybe because it looks more like a sketch than a finished cover.

The “blood” looks like a gummy worm, the guy has moobs, and the eyes are jarring – in a bad way.
And that’s no even taking into account the incomprehensible blurb.

I’ve never had any kind of problem with underarm hair. Until now.
And the top of his or her head looks like it keeps going forever. If it’s supposed to be a beehive, it’s big enough to solve CCD all on its own.
I like the pastel strips and the vertical lettering though. On a completely different cover for a completely different genre, those elements could be quite effective.
Still, this is a vampire book and the cover actually does make me shudder. So there is that.
The texture of the hair is kinda intriguing, but he looks way too effeminate to pull off the sexy hot vampire boy. Plus, the top of his head is weird…is there a cone under there?
This cover gives so many mixed signals and off vibes that it doesn’t say a thing about the book. In some areas it’s almost there, like the color choice and how the elements are placed, but then it just falls off with bad proportions, too much hair, that red worm, and the moobs. Yuck.
