Maybe it’s a gun AND a camera. You know, these days anything is possible. Especially with these book covers. A double entendre if you will. Shoot to kill and then shoot a picture to document it.

There’s so much crap to process here that it took me thirty seconds to even see those skeletons — and they’re HUGE!
Those trees look wrong too, but apparently it’s a stock photo of central Australia. Which would be fine except that this is set in West Texas.

I know it’s the barrel of a gun but with the weird perspective it looks more like a camera.

The pixelated badge is just SO amateur! Like everything else in this mess.
WTF? Aside from the pixelation and the medical specimens, there are a lot of things wrong with this cover – particularly the gun.
First off – it’s camo. 2nd – it’s got a painting of a cowboy on horseback(?) or something on the side. 3rd – it’s pointing the wrong way.
And 4th? It may, indeed be a camera – in the silver ring around the barrel are stenciled the words, “SMILE WAIT FOR FLASH.”
WTF??
I now want to shoot Jason Douglas and Douglas Durham and the artist – probably Joe-Bob Douglas Diddley.
