I’m speechless. How is it that authors with this type of money, end up with covers like THIS???? (This explains why I only get a few trade-pubbed authors of this status; I’ll tell them if they ask, about a cover like this. Moses on a Pony.)
Nope, he claims he is THE CI, who wrote the Hughes book, etc., according to the author bio. I read it twice, to be sure. My initial take was yours–a faux guy, right? But the Bio claims not.

I suspect it is tThe Clifford Irving; I almost suspected this was like the Amazon “Stephen King” horror who is not the real Maine man.
Apparently since the Howard Hughes Hoax and jail time, Irving has only been able to self-pub through e-books at Kindle and Nook. Boy on Trial is a legit 2004 Irving title, but apparently e-book and lousy book cover are mandatory these days.
