Maybe there is some kind conservation of cliches in effect. The previous entry had a wolf and no torso and this one a torso but no wolf. Only so many torsos and wolves can grace covers so there will be some cliche dilution going on.

I would just love to know why so many of these covers have male headless torsos. Do these authors really think that’s going to entice the reader? “Wow! Those are some great abs! I’m dying to know what’s inside this book!” It’s just so incredibly pathetic. Wolves, as a cover genre unto themselves is Just fine with me. I happen to like wolves. Especially with their heads attached but these male headless torsos are really getting on my nerves. They literally piss me off but I guess the up side is that when I view these moronic covers, I instantly feel so much better about myself. I think “Well, at least I have more creativity than that.”
