Nothing portrays the science of DNA quite like crayons.

Does that mean that the protagonist is fighting the evil Scientist of Germwood Forest?

In coastal towns, I think it is policy to put police, 911 and fire stations where they are not subject to storm surges. Lovecraft’s advice to fantasy and science fiction writers included that, even in total fantasy, the real things must be realistic to help sustain willing suspension of disbelief in the fantasy parts. (fiction for fantasy here) This cover does not give me a good vibe for the realism of the book.

It’s so strange that the author went through the trouble of finding respectable fonts for the title and the byline, but put his kid’s artwork on the cover.
