She looks like a blow-up doll. Stretched blow-up doll. And that font is atrocious. I wonder if it’s normally that condensed so the letters merge or did the designer put in an extra effort to make it illegible?

LOL, my husband saw the cover and asked why are all the covers stretched XD. It’s a million-dollar question, isn’t it?

Ha! I thought that she looked like a blow-up doll, too.

Of course she does, she’s your basic pseudo human. Like I said before, online games have a LOT to answer for.

Does anyone have any guesses as to what the scrunched-up foil thingie is behind his left (his left, our right) shoulder????

She really does look like a blow up doll. I had a quick question for you guys, and I couldn’t find any way to message privately on this site. What exactly does “MS paint reborn!” mean? I designed a cover commented on by Nathan in 2013. The comment was “Ive got 99 problems, but a good cover ain’t one”. I have designs in a museum too, so I’m really curious what the term means exactly.

There is, or there used to be, a very simple graphics program included with most PCs that had a Microsoft operating system, called Paint. It was crude, but a fun toy to play with if you were bored at work. At least it was for me.

Ok. I was just curious. I made the image off of real photographs that were taken since he wanted a certain picture drawn, and wanted it to look very cartoonish. Used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to draw the illustration. When I looked up the term, it said something about using paintbrushes, and I definitely did not use a paintbrush. But there’s thousands of kids and adults who enjoy my art and signage at a museum. I give the person exactly what they want and nobody has ever had an issue with my work. I was glad that nobody else in the comments had an issue with the actual picture, just the title that didn’t relate to the picture, which was understandable, but in order to get paid, you have to go with an employers choices. And if the book is read, there is a reason why the cover was explained in the book. Most books don’t explain the cover because they are simple and don’t need an explanation.
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever used one of the simple graphics program, but I would love to try one. 🙂

I have a theory. Not a good theory, but it’s based on the premise that some people are stupid – so I have high hopes.

My theory is this – these wackos, I mean “artistes” have gotten some their art via the five-fingered-discount store called Google Images. They know this is potentially illegal and might even be embarrassing, so they have convinced themselves that to make this art “not stolen” they just have to manipulate it in some manner. So they flip it, stretch it, condense it, and make it fluorescent.

VoilĂ ! It’s no longer recognizable. It is also very, very ugly.

This explains everything.

Something I find very disturbing about anime, and that’s what the girl reminds me of, is the way all the women are drawn looking like five year olds wearing makeup. But with enormous breasts.
