Sometimes, one can be too “artsy.”

Is this an attempt to “whisper” the title on the cover? Fail. Too bad, because the artwork isn’t bad.

WHY, oh, WHY is it that people do not understand that the first and fundamental purpose of text–and fonts–is to be a mechanism for–shocking–COMMUNICATION! The art of communicating something, from Person A, to Person B. WHY is that constantly foregone?

URK.

So distracted by trying to work out what the title is, that I barely noticed that the A of the author’s surname is sideways.

Which is… original, I suppose.

Who thought the Pippi Longstocking socks were a good idea?

That’s all I noticed. Because my brain STILL can’t register that’s text on the left.

This cover really held my attention for a long time.

I was trying to figure out why her Darth Vader helmet was stuck inside the horse.

I can’t tell what way the head is supposed to be turned in accordance to the rest of the body.

It’s like it took all the good potential it had and mercilessly burnt it along with all of the good fonts.
