Haiku Poems about Winter Snow and Frost (How to Write Haiku)

Couldn’t be harder than designing book covers, right?

How to write haiku,
My pen glides over the paper,
The ink runs out, no refills,
Sadness…

A Haiku-like description of this cover:

Haiku Poems about Winter
Snow and Frost [above center]
(How to Write Haiku)
[A shot of snow and frost for you]
[Insert responsible party] . . . couldadone better.

[At any rate the e-book costs only 99 cents.]

Considering the cover, I doubt it is worth even that.

I usually try to resist temptation when someone is giving their work away for nothing, but in this case, where they structured the type arrangement as a limerick instead of Haiku, it was just too much.

Haiku poetry
about winter snow and frost
(how to write haiku)

Crazy! It is a Haiku in that order.
How could they have missed that?!

My guess is that that’s what was intended, but they used a canned cover generator that had other ideas.

Or maybe it’s Book One of The Accidental Haikuist Series.

Being an all-around evil person as well as having too much time on my hands to do anything constructive, I offer this suggestion for a cover. I even took the liberty of changing the title to make the first line 5 syllables instead of 4.

(I realize that nothing says Haiku quite like Currier & Ives, but it is amazing how unpopular pictures of snow and frost were before the advent of thermostatically-controlled central heat.)

Take decent picture
Crap all over it with text
Book covers are hard
