My favorite part is the soldier photoshopped to be holding a gun. Because pictures of soldiers holding guns are so hard to find.

Stiletto heels in the desert sand?

Two things I wouldn’t expect to ever see in the same title – Galactic foreign legions and sexual bliss (396 steps worth, apparently).

If you need 396 steps, you’re doing it wrong.

How is this NOT listed under the “WTF?” tag?

396 steps / 7 = 56.57 PowerPoint slides. Hopefully not in Comic Sans.

Trying to fight “galactic” wars using 21st century terrestrial weaponry doesn’t seem like a good idea.

I see a pair of dice. Maybe this is a role playing game.

I, like, read somewhere that tanks don’t fly too good when they’re in vacuum. Of course, I guess if you have a 21st-Century Tank Launcher…you break free of atmosphere and carry that inertia right with ya…but the landings must be a bitch. And then you ARE one, replete with stilettos.

LOL my books featuring gambling, military science fiction infantry, or zombies have made it onto this site at least three times. Love the notoriety. I think the cover art is great.

The “America’s Galactic Foreign Legion” series is at 22, with the latest cover art featuring a tornado speckled with mobile homes and a cow flying by. Peace.

Positive Reinforcement:

– You have consistent branding with the series. People can tell when the next book is out due to the branded title, layout, dice, and flag. Good job with that.
– You are on book 22 and still getting reviews. 87 reviews of book 1 no less! That alone is impressive. Plus even one from Piers Anthony.
– I can actually tell this is a book cover. You’d be surprised how often you cannot tell that from looking at book covers.
– I have seen far worse covers. Your covers are honestly top tier for here.
– You have a great attitude about the whole ‘showing up’ here thing.

Thank you Waffles. Humor can be a difficult thing, but I try. Sales for the “America’s Galactic Foreign Legion” series are 40,000+, but I admit we started out amateur and learned as we progressed.

Title and cover art let readers know immediately what kind of book they are viewing. Online there is about a five second window on a small screen, so it has to be good. Cover art becomes easier with a series as credibility is established, and readers take time to read the summaries on the back.

Check my cover art for “Zombie Missouri,” also featured on this blog. I thought it was good.

“America’s Galactic Foreign Legion – Book 23 – Bandits” is now published, featuring cover art with space aliens dressed like Mexican bandits. Some say it’s really bad, but I kind of like it. My publisher, Penumbra Publishing, gave me back all rights, so I’m on my own extending the AGFL series.
