  1. Before you go to all the work of the full-color painting, make sure the pencil sketch is up to snuff.
  2. I think this font is trying to dethrone Algerian as “the font that too many people pick for fantasy even though it’s ugly.”

I think the artwork *could have* worked, but that font just kills it.

Is that Moses-of-the-Sewers? He’s parting the run-off water under some medieval city.

What invisible thing is he holding in his right hand? Whatever it is, it’s blocking that rogue wave.

As for the font choice- not only is it a poor choice, it is poorly executed. If the title were larger and the author’s name had a wider kerning, it might be at least passable.
