BTW, I’ve noticed a lot of lousy book covers with “copyrighted material” top and bottom of the cover. Very unprofessional, IMHO.
Is this something the CreateSpace cover template automatically inserts? Does anyone know?

Amazon puts this at the top and bottom of all of their Look Inside materials (including traditionally published books).
Yes. This shows up on the previews of paper books (as opposed to ebooks).
