Y’know what? This looks like someone took a perfectly good DIYBC tool (Do it yourself Bookcovers) and abused the hell out of it. The fades, layout, etc., look familiar to me, or, maybe, they just saw one of his demo covers and mooched the idea?

Whenever I see “blah, blah, blah, bestselling author” my Skepto-Meter pegs the needle.
Ditto for some pseudo-gold-foil “blah, blah, blah contest winner” on the cover.
