Just by simply removing all the glowy crap from the letters you’d get a much better cover (still not a good cover, though). Again a lot of potential, if a somewhat corny subject. Whoever did this has a slightly better knowledge of Photoshop than your average LBC victim, but sadly very little taste. Like someone said earlier for a different cover, it would’ve made a great mockup to send to a pro.
Is it me, or her hair hangs unnaturally straight? Like a wig hanging from somewhere.

Ctrl + zoom. It appears to me that more hair has been superimposed over the model’s hair and the wings. (For a real lousy book cover, the wings should be superimposed over the hair.)
