Ok, this is not that bad (compared to your average LBC monstrosity). Wait, is this the same font as that Angel/Gingel thing from few posts back? I HATE that A.

Where the sun shines from different directions, and Scarlett Johansson has a bad case of jaundice.

Yeah, first thing I noticed too were that the landscape, soldier and woman all had different light sources and intensities.
There ought to be a tag for that besides cut’n’paste.

Lousy cover or not, that is one of the most hideous dresses I have ever seen.

I’m sure that with the right black-lighting, strobe lights and mirror balls, it is absolutely fabulous!

Oh wait, she isn’t holding the gun.

“Does this scarf make my … look big?” “Let me just turn my head around and see…” “Maybe that’s why the soldier is looking the other way…”

If you squint at the cover, the cloudy thing on the right-hand side looks like a big nose, over the roof of the chalet. It does. Then the indent under the “e” starts to look like a browridge, over deep-set eyes. I can’t decide if it’s deliberate or not?

And yes, L., that dress is simply hideous, and it’s just bad, bad, bad on the Scarlett Johansen lookalike. The placement of the author’s name makes her look huge.

If this really were a novel about a giant peeping smoke monster, I would totally read that.

I’m reminded of the theater review quoted in an episode of the TV show “Leverage”: “Never before tonight has there been a production of ‘The Sound of Music’ that made this reviewer want to root for the Nazis.”
