Silly author, they’ve put the marbled endpapers on the outside instead of the inside.

Book description

Gladiator slaves are praised throughout the powerful kingdom of Varlen, Joran is one such slave that has two differences from the others. The first is that Joran is half-elf, his parentage allows him the grace and agility the others could only wish for. The second difference is something that could make his life far more difficult, he has the ability to use magic. There are mages in Varlen but none like Joran, many will seek to use him, some will seek to kill him. Join Joran as he finds out the kingdom of Varlen is no place for the weak.

How would you design a cover based on that description?
