Maybe shoot it with the cap gun they issue all Jungle Cruise boat operators?

Toss it a pumpkin. I’ve seen images of hippos catching entire (large) pumpkins in their mouths. (Just Google “hippo with pumpkin.”) That should keep it busy for a few minutes.

Not a problem I’m likely to encounter.

Which is a shame, really.

I can’t help but wonder if even the author’s name was a typo… Not much writing credibility established in the title, so…

According to the Smashwords site, the author’s name is actually “SOLOMON J.MATT.” The description doesn’t do much to inspire confidence either…

Should be spelled ‘Denial’.

The “Daniel” anagram game may be fun:

Denial
Nailed
I’d Lean
D. Alien
Dealin’
And Lie

Perhaps it’s meant to be ‘How to Deal with Hippo Encounter by de Nile’? That would make more sense and have more chance of a positive outcome than dealing with them by denial. 🙂

280 words. You set the price! Who could resist with tags like:

*hippotherapy
*encounter Jesus
*hippocratic oath
*hippogryff
*hippocrene

How are tags on Smashwords decided? Does the author (whose name is not “Danial” on Smashwords) do it or are they auto-generated?

I clicked on ‘Publish’ out of curiosity, and there was no option to set tags so they are probably auto-generated based on the title (or perhaps the option appears after publishing).

Quite likely there is need for a book of this sort for tourists. The cover image is not bad at all, but the text is inappropriate, and the biggest barrier to sales is sure to be the ungrammatical title and the description that borders on illegible.

Apparently, you cover one up with text?
