I wonder if this cover template might qualify as a “cargo cult” variation, considering that others have used it on covers for similar books.
Holding hands at the crucifixion? Seems a little irreverent; kinda like holding a weenie roast over the ovens in Auschwitz. Also, if you have to say “a sweet Christian romance” on the cover, you obviously haven’t adequately shown your book to be sweet, Christian, or romantic.
It would be a sweeter cover without the crucified christ.
Nothing says romance like a mutilated dead guy on a tree.
